A cold day that doesn't stop raining.

It's 2am in the morning. I just got home not long ago, buying supper for my family.
It has been a long day, raining all day. Heavy, and light. Then heavy again. My flats are totally wet, squishing through the floor with puddles of water. I thought I was back in Australia climbing Cradle Mountain!

Today, after the event,I went out with June and Joyce to Plaza Singapura and walked around Daiso. Bought a brush and Hello Kitty chopsticks for myself. It's just so cute,I couldn't resist buying it! However, that's like meant for little kids so it's actually much shorter than the usual ones -_- Still usable!

Then to Cineleisure and meet a friend, went to flea market at Scape. I know right, flea market still opened at 8pm! But they were closing,so we did a quick rush walking around seeing if there's anything we'd like to buy. Skipped all the clothes and headed straight for accessories. While Joyce bought some accessories,I spotted these 2 cutesies!

SHO CUTE!
It's so soft and white, holding a cute little Halloween pumpking. The best of all? It only costs $2!

Spotted the small one first before seeing the big one. Small one is cute, big one is even cuter! Total for these 2 is only $3! How to say no to these cutesies?
I'm going to hang on my bag or something, they can't be on my bed cause I don't have the habit and it's kinda creepy.

I bought my first deck of monopoly deal in Scape, and went off to Graffiti Cafe. We ate the Pontian wanton mee and played monopoly deal. I can't help it,the cards just comes. I won 4 times in a row, right from the beginning. The opening-cards' luck, they say ;)

A simple 2m silly brown set, with hotels and house could easily go up to 13m. Imagine I have double the rent.
FUIYOH!!!

Then we parted with Joyce while I went off with Clarence to East Coast. He went to work, and I got Macdonald's home for my family to eat.

The cute beef burger that I bought as well. Gees... It's beef. Where's the Mcspicy?!

All this time,it was raining without a stop. I can't explain how heartwarming it is to come home everyday. I got home fast with a good driver, who even wished me 'happy chinese new year' as I got off the cab.

The weather may be cold, but do you think I feel cold? :)

Sunset over in Australia

On the way back to Singapore,I encountered lovely clouds and the receding sunlight upon my window. It makes a combo of a beautiful sunset while we fly over Australia back home. Murmurs, rustling movements and dings of bells which rang for the attention of air stewdesses to passengers were all heard on board of Singapore Airlines.
Classic.

I love taking flights where I can see sunrise or sunsets. Looking of the windows,I marvel at such beautiful creations! I couldn't decide which is nicer,so I shall post all of it and let YOU decide. Shall we?

Lao niang decided to label it for you so that you can tell me which one of these that you like ;)

Really, why do girls play bowling like that anyway?

A weekend that I can finally rest! Thank god. It's time to have fun.
After work,I head off with Kai Zhi to meet everyone else at Marina Square. Head over to Zara and got Tiffany a birthday present as well. Happy birthday,Tiff! You're finally 16 already, may this year be a sweet 16 one for yea!

Anyway, somehow Andy always scores the highest! While Jing Long,Kai Xin,Jia Qi,Kai Zhi and I lag far behind Andy. We always kena 'longkang'(drain)! Hmph! Just before the game ends,we all decided to do 'stunt'. Some of us tried to turn our hand so that the bowling ball would kind of spin,if you know what I mean. Then some of us would try the ball from a higher ground. And here's mine:

Yeah man, push the ball! It's a blurred shot.

Tadah... This 13kg ball just entered the longkang. Zzz.
I'm never good at bowling, neither is it a favorite sport. It would never come across my mind to play it as a leisure sport. But they said,it's the process that matters. Indeed,we cheered when there's a strike and gave encouragement when there's a 'longkang'! :P

Then I did a google search on bowling fail. Nothing much interesting came up except these 2:

Hello Sydney,I'm finally here!

I'm in Sydney!

And that is 2 months back, haha, gotcha! Anyway,Sydney was my last stop in Australia. I was excited to see the city! Honestly,it's not just about seeing Sydney Opera House. It's also about the shopping! I wanted to see what can I shop from this city, hee!

Cockle Bay
Sitting on a bench with my shoppings. One of the damage to my wallet was the famous UGG boots where almost every girl I see on the street is wearing,$160AUD! Oh,by the way,it's very cold for me even though the sun is quite strong. Ridiculous as it sounds,I'm trying to use my shoppings and shield from the wind.

Australian National Maritime Museum. Yes,those belonged to them!

Tadah!

It wasn't a particularly beautiful day so I didn't do any photoshoot here. But it sure is sunny, almost everyone is wearing sunglasses! And windy too. And to the side,it's Sydney Harbour bridge.

Sydney Harbour Bridge

Yes,you could actually climb the bridge too. I heard that the view was fantastic, but it isn't cheap to climb up. About $200AUD I think. It's late afternoon already and time was running out,I couldn't get there in time to climb the bridge. Blame that on shopping and nua-ing in bed till late morning.

Since everyone is wearing sunglasses,I myself have always wanted to get a pair sunglasses that I will look good in. There's quite a number that doesn't fit my face, but here you go:

I think I push it too far INto my face.

Hello Sydney!

Anyway
I was so busy shopping that I only head over to Sydney Opera House on the second last day. I am so excited! I have always seen pictures of the opera house on the internet, postcards and advertisements. And now,I am finally going to see the real thing with my very own eyes!

Christmas in a hotel room,a night to remember!

Yes indeed,a long overdued post. But nevertheless,I'm sharing with you how I celebrated Christmas!

No traditional turkey dinner but a night in Studio M! I booked a room and invited the 'cousins' over for a night of fun. Hmmm, how crazy would we get? I have no idea, read on!

Checking in was hell long! It took us a good 2 hours before we were finally able to check-in. Not to mention,Joyce,Andy and I were late too. Jing Long and Mel had to queue up for us first. I could swear, everyone in the queue are Singaporeans and none were foreigners!

And finally,we arrived at the hotel room!
Executive Loft

It wasn't big,but neither was it small. It's just cosy, the sofa is a pull out bed.
Everyone is preparing for the night ahead!

Joyce even brought her make up palette to help us with the make up! Mel was quite on lah,he agreed to put some foundation and mascara. Whereas I... Whilst in pursuit of vainity,I was putting mascara too in front of the mirror. I got nervous and... Poke myself in the eye.

OUCH!!!

Say Cheese!

Group photo,everyone!

Now the girls,

Then the guys!

Would like to have some champagne and say: Cheers to Christmas!

Gift exchange time! Everyone was excited to see what we got for each other.

Tadah!
This is my present from JiaQi,and she knows that I will love her present very much! And it is also these 4 little glasses and 4 dices that knocked everyone out for the night later, hehe! Why so? Cause there's this around:

Killer man.. I can't believe,it's only 1 hour lor. And thanks to my kindest bro who brought it for us. I am so careless, bring such a big luggage yet forget the most important thing of a party.

"And the crackers went POP!"

And the very unglam me with Jia Qi. Thank you to Jia Qi and Jing Long for helping everyone that night!

We played truth or dare as well. To me it's quite extreme and silly and funny, but maybe others had played something far more extreme than us? I don't know, but it's way funny!

Whatever happened in the room,

Remains in the room!

A night to remember.
May this year be the same,or better!

To watch or not to watch: "Fair Game" tells about White House & government

Movie Review

As a covert officer in the CIA's Counter-Proliferation Division, Valerie Plame (Naomi Watts) leads an investigation into the existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Valerie's husband, diplomat Joseph Wilson (Sean Penn), is drawn into the investigation to substantiate an alleged sale of enriched uranium from Niger. But when the administration ignores his findings and uses the issue to support the call to war, Joseph writes a New York Times editorial outlining his conclusions and ignites a firestorm of controversy.
-Yahoo

I would rate this movie 3 stars against 5. Based on my understanding from the movie with no prior information before watching it,this is a non-fiction movie is about America's politics. It is based on Valerie Plame (played by Naomi Watts) who used to work as a CIA agent, who got dismissed from her job because of a lie made government to initiate war against Iraq. She,together with her husband Joseph Wilson (played by Sean Peann) voiced out against the lie, against the White House. It is quite an interesting movie to watch,of how they deal with the situation.
The movie however is not 100% accurate. For more information, read here.

An intresting quote that goes something like this in the movie:

Because someone could shout a million times more or louder than you,it doesn't make that person right.

Food for thought? Yes please.

Valerie Plame testifies in CIA leak hearings (part 1)

This is a film by Doug Liman,to be released on 13th January 2011.
Catch it in the theatres!

Looking back of 2010,in an aeroplane!

Taken at Henderson Wave about 3 months back
I wanted to do this on the 1st of January, but I guess unfortunately I couldn't keep up with the dates. But I still wanna summarise my 2010 because I'm so proud of it and have thoroughly enjoyed myself throughout the year.

I'm proud of myself putting down a firm decision to doing my braces. It was one of the biggest change in my life. I told myself: I want to look pretty,I wanna have nice smile. And tadah,
I guess you can call it a big change.

Things in school started looking up and I don't feel so depressed anymore,in fact cooking become one of my favorite lessons and I looked forward to going to school more than ever. And there is a few of them who pulled me out of my nutshell,I am so ever thankful for them being there for me.

And here is my guzheng teacher who tolerated my nonsense for years. She has 'sacked' me countless times due to my bad habits such as turning up late. But she still took me in after my mom asked her to take me in =x Why am I mentioning her? Because it was only into the second month of 2010 had I gotten the news that I passed my Guzheng Diploma, certified by Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA)!

My mom had been dreaming for a long time for the day I passed my guzheng diploma AND get promoted. Here,we celebrated her birthday in the boat restaurant. She loved it! I'm so glad that I have such a doting mother, whom agreed to let me fly all over the place!

Paris
Birmingham
Sydney
During my vacation,I alone have been to:
Scotland, Birmingham, Staffordshire, London, Paris. Then it's to Sydney, Tasmania, Robertson and Melbourne. I counted the number of planes that I took. 5 in Australia,4 in UK,probably 4 in Malaysia? That's 13 plane rides I took! Woohoo! What a record for myself. What a joke too,I went to Paris but decided not to go to Disneyland because it seemed too lonely to go alone -_-
Each trip always teaches me something new, opened my eyes wider each time to see the world.

And these group, regardless at any point of the year, they were always around.
Chinese new year,birthdays,lunch-dinners,outings,ice-skating,movies,Christmas etc. Never a moment was dull with them around, and the amount of crazy shit we do,the laughters, memories and history that we had created. I hope this year 2011 would be a fun-filled one too!

And then I have this senseless whining-all-the-time bitch who lives like a frog in the well. Both of us shared a love-hate relationship. Sometimes we act as though we are lesbian, but we aren't! I tell her anything and everything, crude's our code. Formality between us isn't often seen,it scares us.
And this year, this bitch caused me to lose my whole bag. I was mad at her for months,my bag has got everything like my camera, wallet, dress and whole make up kit! But strangely,a few months later,I was the one who caused her to lose her camera too! Same place, same time, similar friends.
Ha! I guess you call that tit-for-tat. We're even now, bitch.

And of course, there are the special few of you whom I never gotten any pictures with, but you all make a difference in my life,my heart. A part of me is thinking of you guys right now :)
I wonder how this year would be like. May it be as good as 2010,or better.
God bless.
