OverTime at Dempsey with Lin Chi Ling!

Darren , Mint , Wendy , Cheryl , Allan , myself , Yong Wei
Hello! How was your Christmas? I hope you guys had fun.
Let me introduce you to a new place to chill out, shall I? On the 16th December 2010,with thanks to Daen of Vibescomm,I was invited to this place called OverTime located at Dempsey hill. The above photo is taken with the fellow bloggers, and of course the boss of the place,Allan!

The beer of the day is Starker! There are 2 sort of Starker beer, one is the Lager(laa-gal) beer is bitter, probably more suitable for the seasoned drinkers or those who love the bitter taste. While the alternative would be Aromatic. Just as the name suggested,it's slightly sweeter and has more flavour which is more suitable starters.

Its not just a place of drinks, dinner was served by the in-house chef so fret not! Hungry? Just order!

Finally, the star of the day has arrived! Ms Lin Chi Ling! After signing the board, she proceeded to move inside OverTime. She is a very beautiful lady with a warm and sweet personality! Her voice is so sweet! Anyone remembered watching Red Cliff? Hehe!

Afterwards, she went into a tent where the media interviewed her. Thankfully,we managed to get a picture with her! But not without 2 outsiders who DIE DIE also wanna squeeze in with us.
Yayness!

How do you like this place? They have very laid-back kind of setting for you to chill out. OverTime has got 2 branches here in Singapore, head over to anyone of them. Countdown!

A girl's experience climbing mountain in Australia(Tasmania)

Every night,I edit a little bit of my travel photos in hope that I can quickly post this up. I have so many photos, not that I travel as much as others. But I became lazy and soon, posting about my trips became a chore. I have yet to post about London,Scotland and Paris! The marvels I saw there can't be compared to Singapore. But today,I'm going to post about Tasmania,Australia.

Warning: This is going to be a super long post.

Many asked me why would I want to travel alone?
Travelling with friends sounded fun, they can help you to take pictures of happy moments. But say perhaps among friends, they have different goals, level of patience, habits; Perhaps for me I would still prefer to travel alone. Besides,it gives me some time alone to think. Because of the obstacles that I saw,and all the possibility of losing my life up there,I think I had quite an experience.
Words aside,let the pictures talk.

Welcome to Cradle Mountain!

Isn't it beautiful?

Top of Cradle Mountain and yes, that white patch is called snow. Freaking 9 degrees celsius! I didn't know that it's that cold until I saw the news the next day. To think I actually packed for spring/summer and even left all the clothes that I needed in the airport!

Harrow! Let's begin our trail walk!
Here's how our trail looked like, bigger and more stones start to appear. No longer that smooth.
This is the view that I see along the trail that we walked along.

Posing for the camera with absolutely NO FRIGGING idea of what's coming ahead. The steps that I'm sitting on is the very road that we are walking climbing. Sometimes,it gets impossible to walk and we have to use our hands to lift ourselves up. The road just gets narrower and narrower, steeper and steeper. And I just can't help wondering if we're going in the wrong way.

I would describe the road as:
Multiply those little rocks in Macritchie Reservoir by 10 times, and divide the width of your corridoor by 2. That's about it.

A point where we stopped. Look beyond, click to enlarge. The mountains seemed endless, just like the sea.
A photo to remember that I climbed this frigging mountain. Seriously,my skin peel,I'm freaking cold. But I managed a smile, teehee!

Hello Cradle Mountain,I'm climbing youuuuuuuuu!
Actually, you can say that it's my first time climbing a mountain. No,I'm not expecting to climb a mountain. Those rocks that you see? I thought it's going to be like a nice little wooden plank, smooth and nice to walk for tourists. BUT NO.

One of the many poles indicating the path that we're suppose to climb. I'm super cold, and is actually clinging on for my life because the wind is really big. Several times did I feel that I'm swaying with the wind. So you guys should stop saying that I'm so skinny that I'm going to get blown away. Later what you all say come true how? I don't wanna die up there.
Choy ah choy!
-touch wood-

So continuing the walk,we arrive here.
You could click to enlarge and see what it's talking about. Something about being how many millions years old. It was a split path, where we chose which route that we are going to take. And we took the right one, because we wanna get down asap. It's just too damn cold!

Yes please,we are so climbing THIS. Grab onto the rocks or any bushes so that we won't fall off and die. I tried my best to combine the pictures without it looking too weird, cause my DSLR doesn't have paranomic function. Yes,I brought a freaking DSLR to mountain climbing.

I think you can more or less imagine how big this mountain is.

Then I stop taking pictures until I reached solid ground, because it was way too dangerous. Plus hail (where its like rain, but it's not water but small little ice) hit us twice. So when we finally reached solid ground, you can't imagine how relieved I am!

Are you kidding me? No,I don't look so fresh after climbing the mountain for hours. I edited my eyebags of course! We walked all the way back to the station to wait for our shuttle bus. Climbed the mountain from 12pm-6pm. 6 hours, gees.

We walked from Lake Rodway track to Face Track,Lake Willis and down to Dove Lake circuit. I would love to say I went to Marion Outlook but I didn't. I would love to accomplish something bigger than what I did,but I would probably not want to go back there. Because I might not return. And I'm proud to say,I hit 1100m in height!

Look at the map, face track's highest altitude is 1240m! Whatever that is required to bring along the trip,I didn't. My friend only wore his long sleeve and sneakers. While I wore my flats, long sleeved and jacket. Not to forget my polaroid,DSLR. Nice? Nice.

While waiting for the shuttle bus to pick us up,a Hong Kong couple asked us where did we reached. I told him, added that it's cold. He laughed and looked at us,saying:
It's not that hard, you're just underdressed.

LOL!

This meal costs us about $50 SGD. But I think it's pretty yummy, warm and fulfilling.
And we reached our hotel at 8pm. At that time, our poor tour guide has been asking around where are we. Because everyone were suppose to sign in so that he knows we are back. He started to panic a bit when we weren't back at 6pm. The moment he saw us,he said:
I'm very happy to see you back.

I didn't really understand that sentence and thought he was making conversation. Until the next day when we were leaving,I asked him if anybody died at the mountain or just fall off. He said every year, people did. Sometimes their bodies were found, sometimes not. And he added:

That's why I told you last night,I'm very happy to see you back.

Now I know.
Byebye Cradle Mountain!

(Besides the 'Geology at work' sign)

Enjoying life with a massage at Spa Republic

Sponsored advertorial

Hello! Christmas season is round the corner, every man and lady has got to give themself some time to freshen up and get ready for christmas, isn't it? Well,I will show you a way how to enjoy life!

Just after I came back from Australia, battered and sore from the cold weather there,I am extremely happy to be invited by Daphne to try out the massage at Sentosa Resorts World! Resort Spa is located right in Festive Hotel Level 3 Resort World Sentosa. Words aside, let me show you:

Welcome to Spa Republic!

I am there with these few bloggers as well:

Vivian,myself,Clara,June

We were first served tea before being shown to our rooms.

Here's the bathroom, shower's on the left and steam bath on the right.

That's right, steaming is a good way to detox without actually having to exercise! It unclogs pores and washes out the dirt that is has sunken deep into your skin. Now,the room.

Awfully huge, isn't it? With relaxing slow Chinese Orchestra music,it sets my mind at peace.
The picture on the left shows how it looks like when you enter the room. So on the left side of the room, you will see the jaccuzzi (reminds me of a goldfish's bowl) and right side of the room will be the place where you lie down for the massage.

First,it would be the cavier scrub. Yes,the very cavier where you eat in Japanese restaurants. This scrub has got 2 potent anti-aging ingredients, which are grape seed oil and cavier. They clear away the dead skin cells and fine lines, revealing a new soft and youthful skin beneath.

Soft and gentle, click to enlarge and you totally feel like you could eat it on the spot. Haha!
After an hour of Cavier scrub,we wash it off by eating showering.

Next up would be the:

Warm Deluxe Argan Massage

Submerge and tranquilize in their Marine Therapy with essential oils and Babacu plant extracts. Thereafter, embrace the satin experience with their recherché selection of Essence of the Mediterranean oil. The candle fills the room with a soothing scent and moisturising goodness such as Lavender, Mandarin, sweet almond, Rosemary, Sunflower oil, Sal Butters and Palm Wax are being massaged into the body leaving a lingering silky feel on your skin while restoring the vital elements the body lacks.

The sweet scent indeed soothes me and the wax, unlike a normal candle, will not harden when poured out. Gosh, when she rubs it on my skin,it feels damn warm and smooth! It doesn't even burn or feels very oily.

After the treatment,we are not treated to the usual tea but something much nicer.

Red dates, wolfberries, white fungus and barley. Healthy, isn't it? I'm not a person who usually eat these sort of stuff, but I found it yummy. Actually,I kinda crave for it now. Teehee!

This is Mediterranean Xmas Package by Spa Republic that takes a total of 2 hours. Detox Steam,Caviar Scrub and Warm Argan Deluxe Massage. That day,I put a status:
Envy much? Want a chance to live my life? I will give you the chance, not to live my life. But enjoy the massage that I went. Do hear, men are very much welcomed too! In fact,my masseur told me that men are a common sight, even more than the ladies! They are the ones working and have more tension than the ladies. So shy not, men!

Spa Republic is giving away the package for free to 2 of my readers!
Each package worth $376 with entrance to sentosa waived off! All you have to do is to email your particulars with NRIC, contact number, name to pick.my.entry@gmail.com . Remember to put your subject heading as

Ginvera Eye Roll & Green Tea Whitening Marvel Gel

Skincare review,sponsored products

As you guys always know,I have a habit of sleeping late. But that doesn't mean I don't have dark eye circles. So when TheSampleStore offered me to do the Ginvera Eye Roll review,I am over the moon! So here we go,let the pictures prove the results if it works.

Tilt it at 45 degrees and roll it on your eyes from side to side, following the arrows.
Pat around your eye area after using it,don't waste it!

The moisture will come out,as can be seen on the picture that the right one is shinier.

Ginvera Eye Roll has a green ball is said to be a jade,I'm not sure if you can pry it out and try to sell it. Haha! But in any case, jade has got 'energy' in them where it transfers the 'energy' on to your eyes when you roll them around the eye area. Jade roller is more hygienic than other rollers as it has energy to inhibit bacteria and brightening your eye contour. It's cooling against the skin as well!

Next up,let's test the:
GINVERA Green Tea Whitening Marvel Gel

Texture of it on the hand

You don't have to cleanse your face or wet your fingers, just dab on your face, especially around the T-Zone area.

And this my dead skin! Okay,I know. It's disgusting. Disgusting like your face! Hahaha! I'm sure you have dead skin too,so this is how it will be like after your rubbed it on your face. Dead skin appearing.

GINVERA Green Tea Whitening Marvel Gel is quite effective in a sense that it contract your pores, effectively remove blackhead painlessly and dead skin your face. Removing dead skin your face effectively brightens up your face and dull skin be gone! Looking at the before-and-after pictures...

The top is a before picture and bottom is the after picture. Ignoring the lighting,I think my face looks more radiant after using it. Of course,it's not a one-shot instant result. You have to use it daily and faithfully. Even my dark eye circles seemed to have lessen.

Doubt it? Try it!
Go here for a sample size!
Also, don't forget to check out the facebook page for Ginvera.

What do u think of this look? I hope it doesn't scare u.

Hmmm... What should I say? People say I'm getting scarier and scarier posts after posts.
I truly love white a lot, most of my clothes are white. Months after months,I made up my mind to bleach and dye my hair white after my exams, yet I have heard supersticions that it's bad luck for the children to have white hair before their parents blah blah. Considering that:

1. It MIGHT not suit me.
2. Bleaching is bad for the hair.
3. I still have to dye back to black.

A wig seemed like a good decision.

I nearly bought one in Australia but it seemed pretty expensive. I kinda regret though, they are selling for about $40-$50 AUD. I'm a cheapo,I even ask for a discount until $30 AUD but still end up not buying cause the hair style doesn't seem to suit me. Lol! But anyway, there's a wholesale hair shop below my place. So I bought the wig (one and only!) for $70 when I was on my way back from the bank. Ha! Here are some pictures, let me know what you think about it?

And last of all,it would be this:

It ended up as my twitter and facebook profile picture.

IT'S NOT LADY GAGA INSPIRED.

I'm me! I know people tell me that it looks like lady gaga's hair or something. But mine is white, not blonde. Plus hers is longer. Argh, hateful! Mine is so short! So how? What do you think? But definitely,I'm not going to dye my hair white anymore. Hard to maintain!

Rojukiss Stim White Cell Natural Range

Skincare review,sponsored products
Hello! How is your face doing currently? Black spots that doesn't seem to go away? Remember in one of my previous post,I promise to introduce a new skincare for you to try out? Here you go,presenting:

Rojukiss Stim White Cell Natural Range

Stim Cell Natural Serum For Light Tone is to be applied on the face and Stim Cell Natural Serum For Dark Tone is to apply on brown spots/pigmentation. Both are selling 3x 10ml for $59.90 at Guardian from mid-december onwards! Of course, the packaging is much much bigger than this. Look out for Rojukiss! Here's the before and after picture after using it:

Not forgetting that you need a sunblock to protect your face from the sun too:

And here's Stim Cell Natural Sunscreen with SPF 50 PA+++ that you apply on your face and neck. Whitening is important, but don't forget to maintain it! This can be found in Guardian as well for $39.90!
The sun block is quite watery, something like a wet foundation but not as creamy. Personally,I have never use much foundation, using it as a make-up cheat foundation and yet protecting my skin at the same time is a combo!
